Topic: Depression glass; pale blue dish

Hi,

I'd welcome any input on the origin of this little dish.

The glass of this little dish with the Coronation pattern (I think) has lots of tiny inclusions that may be deliberate. This item may be genuine as opposed to a modern reproduction; there is an older feel to it, somehow, but I don't see any signs of wear on it. Its greatest diameter is 13 cm. I found it at a church fair in the UK, about a year ago.

After Anne's comments on what I thought might be a sugar bowl, I now wonder if this could also be part of a trinket set.

Started searching some more, and found that it resembles Regstered design 638874    24 June 1914    which is pattern No 283 in the Davidson catalogues somewhat.

And, no, I guess it's not depression glass. It has tiny nicks on the underside of the rim, and the rim has the seam(s).

I'm pretty sure it's not Davidson 283

No, it's definitely not. Does not match. (Pattern No 283 has 12 faces, clear corners, whereas mine has what seems to be a coronation-like pattern of 24 ribs.)

But there is a resemblance, so maybe it's a different Davidson pattern?
