Square Mdina stoppered bottle
« on: September 03, 2012, 03:25:26 PM »
Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me a date on this Mdina bottle. Its 12" tall, streaky red with blue strapping. I haven't been able to locate one this size on eBay, are they less common square and of this type? cheers Wolfie

Late 70's and into the '80s, Wolfie. Post-Harris, and not MH's own design (although a variation on his themes)
I like this design. I have a pair of these stoppered bottles on the ends of my mantlepiece.
There's an image of a flange-rimmed egg-shaped one in the book, p. 53, but the colours of the image aren't good.

Some folk think this is orange and green. I see it as red and blue.  :-\
