The question is of course who actually them made for House of Goebel, as it's a marketing brand

So true, Christine. It would be wonderful to know. At least now I have something to go on! I honestly couldn't place these canes at all, and I didn't think they were Italian.

[Mod: Nov 2016. Here's another example with the same cane types.]

This is a great newsgroup.   I wonder if I could trouble you with an identification of a very large pedestal-type mushroom paperweight.   It is about 6-1/2 inches tall and about 4-1/2 inches in diameter.  There are about 60 canes of around 3-1/2 inches in length that make up the mushroom (for about 17 linear feet of canes!)   There are three star-shaped canes in the midst of the millefiori canes.

I have been enjoyng reading some of the recent threads, and I noticed this inquiry regarding a smaller mushroom paperweight that has similar canes to this mushroom pedestal paperweight:

Well spotted, Gleaming. Yes same cane types. I will merge this thread with the one you linked to.

I've seen the link mentioned and the mushroom above. My initial reaction was could this be from Fratelli Toso?

Kind Regards

Andrew
