Bohemian Swirl, Cased Vase, Uranium Formula
« on: March 05, 2013, 03:42:27 AM »
Seems like I should know this one but have had no luck.  Inner layer is opal, outer layer yellow/green with swirl and an irridescent surface.
Still shots here:

Or you can see the coloring more clearly in this short video:

Thanks.

Hello
please could you upload your pictures directly the GMB board, otherwise any information is lost or becomes useless once the outside link to pictures disappears.
Many thanks

If it works, here are four pics. The video still shows the color best.

This one is now attributed to Kralik, swirl or ribbed pattern.

thanks - I was going to suggest that as it looks remarkably similar to a couple of vases that have recently been on here.  They are more complex in decor and have panels of foliage decoration as well, but the background looks very similar to your vase.
Do you have a reference for your id please?
Thanks

It's on Kralik-Glass.  Check this link, and then click Kralik Visual Decor Index N-Z in the left hand column.  Scroll down unitl you see Ribbed or Swirl, click, and on that page you'll see one very similar.

thanks - it looks like no 2 on the top row of Ribbed Twisted.  But not like any that are under Swirl which I think is a different decor :)

Yeah, I should know enough to double-check my vocabulary.  I knew there was one word that wasn't right.   Someone on another group suggested Kralik "swirl", which was the search that led me to the site and the correct "ribbed/twisted" category, even if those are only probably only descriptive terms and not Kralik's designation.  It's enough for my purposes, which unfortunately includes eBay.
