Perthshire PP2 unusual?
« on: May 09, 2013, 10:45:22 AM »
Just acquired this Perthshire PP2 and wondered how unusual it is, the average that I have seen have between 9 &11 spokes this one though has 14.

It's obviously pre 1978 with no P cane and fire polished base and I understand the pastel blue ground denotes one of their earlier pieces but I cannot find another example with this many spokes. Has anyone else?

You don't mention the size, Nick. Are you sure it's not a PP1?

Hi Kev
It's 62mm just under 2 1/2 inches so definatley a PP2, 14 spokes would indeed be spot on for a PP1 but I've not seen and cannot find any images of a PP2 with this many.

A quick photo for comparison with a PP1 (also unusual as it has 3 centre concentric rings rather than 2.)

Any further views on this one being pretty unusual?

I guess it is unusual for a PP2.  :)
