Bright Orange Bowl with SWIRLS
« on: May 21, 2013, 09:57:36 PM »
Hi:

I am pretty sure that this is CHALET GLASS.  I think by the color and shape.  Vase shows wear too.

.....But I have not seen one with these kind of swirls in it.  I think it makes it kinda unique.  Anyone seen Chalet Glass with type of swirls.  IT is Chalet, isn't it??

Length - 11.50 inches
Width - 6.25 inches widest point
About 4.50 inches tall

Thanks, look forward to replies.  TIA

 ;)

I don't know if it's Chalet Rose as I don't know much about them at all, but that's one gorgeous piece of glass :)
how much does it weigh?  it looks a very heavy piece.

It looks quite a lot like Lorraine Glass to me too, in the colour page from their catalogue shown here http://www.antique67.com/articles.php?article=79

there is a piece with a similar spiral.... but Chalet-Lorraine can be a difficult attribution area...

Thank YOU BOTH Flying Free and boda:

Yes kinda hard to tell -- but I do see in the link Boda provide a drawing there of one with swirls on the base.  Good eye!!

So yes, I will lean towards Lorraine Glass Too.

It weighs about 6.5 pounds!!

Thanks
