Another Mystery Signature Needing Identification
« on: June 25, 2013, 05:32:15 PM »
These 2 paperweights are in my top 10 art glass pieces and are signed by the same artist. I've attached both a side by side picture of the paperweights and a close up of the signature on the bottom of the shorter one. The larger one is just under 4 inches tall. I actually bought these at different times from different places. If it helps I'm in southern California (some pieces don't stray far from their maker's origin). Also, beneath the signature on the shorter one there is the number "5/86" and the taller one has "7/86". Is this a date code?
Any assistance with artist identification would be greatly appreciated and I will stop my requests here for today (this makes 2 for the day).

They are really beautiful  weight's I like them a lot.
Pretty sure they are date's and not Ltd Edition numbers.

Thanks Chris! Give me your e-mail address and I'll send you a couple of pictures representative of my collection (thus far). Fortunately for me there is an advantage in being located in southern California regarding art glass hunting. billvitez AT earthlink DOT net

those are some early pieces by Michael O'Keefe. Larry Selman used to handle some of his work.

Thank you so much Furhman Glass! I love these and not being able to decipher the signatures  has bugged me for a long time.
