Need help!
« on: August 22, 2013, 03:35:55 PM »
Hello experts!

I've found an very interesting vase.

I guess it is from Scandinavia, but at least my glass knowledge is very low.

Does somebody know what kind of vase this might be?
Where is it from, who's the artist?

Hope you can help me to identify this nice glass work.

Thanx
Marty

Hi Marty,
although I havenīt seen this particular shape my best guess based on colour and style would be Friedrich Kristall
in Trappenkamp, somewhere funky 70īs.
And of course - welcome to GMB!  :)

Hallo Dirk!

Thanx und Danke for your reply.

The special shape of the vase makes me doubt a little that it is a Friedrich Kristall work.
I did a lot of research in the last 2 days.
Actually I found not even one item which is brown coloured and has those unique "folds".

Maybe you`ve got an another idea?!  ;)

By the way .... thanx for the warm welcome!
Marty

No other idea, but maybe another suggestion.  ;D

A friend of mine is Friedrich collector and with a few hundred pieces I tend to call him an authority.
If you agree I could forward your pictures to him and see what he thinks.

Meanwhile hereīs a piece from my collection which I suspect to be Friedrich, too. Further Iīve also
seen their trinket set in this chocolate colour.

Hello Dirk.

Thanx a lot. Seems like we have both a similar work at home.

If you like to ask your friend, please go ahead.

Have a nice day!

Martin
