Can anyone help ID this one please ?
« on: October 29, 2013, 11:02:32 PM »
Hello everyone,

We've recently acquired this large vase from a collection of late 1960s and early 1970s items.

Reminds us of a triffid from BBC's Day Of The Triffids :-)

There are no markings anywhere on it. Height is 14 inches (36cm) and width at widest point is 5 inches (13cm).

There are 6 lobes around the body.

We think it could be Murano or something Czech or Scandinavian (Think that covers every possibilty !!)

Many thanks in advance ....  (Photos attached)

Hi, and welcome to the GMB. :)

unusual looking piece, very slightly like a jack-in-the-pulpit vase - hope someone is able to help you, but in the meantime I'd suggest that if possible you also include a picture of the base  -  this can help sometimes in providing an answer.            Compliments on your pictures by the way.

However, it's probably best to stick to the usual form of qualification for 'antique', rather than applying it to items as recent as this. :)
