Variation of Kosta Boda's Bernadotte line?
« on: January 06, 2014, 06:45:25 PM »
Please help me identify the maker and line of these bubble stemmed crystal, coupe-form glasses.  The stem is the same as Kosta Boda's Bernadotte line, but I have not found any engraved versions of that line, and the bowl form is not identical to the Bernadotte forms I have.  The engraving, on the outside of the bowl, if finely done and they have a wonderful balance in the hand.

That engraving reminds me of some Stuart patterns.  I wonder if they may be unmarked Stuart.

I'm familiar with Stuart having great thick knops, often with a thicker bottom part than top part (sort of a stretched part coming out from the bottom of it) - but not with that formation.

Is there an air bubble in it?

Sorry it took me so long to reply.  Lost my password.  So, anyway, yes, there is a little trapped air bubble in the stem.
