Date for this Mdina Tortoiseshell Bottle Vase
« on: January 11, 2014, 05:01:02 PM »
Hi, got hold of this Bottle Vase. The info I have read only confused me the more I read.  This one is 36cm in height. It is Marked Mdina and from my searches this could be early 70's but what do I know. Would like to have more confidence with what I find out but the Internet has so many conflicting pieces of info.  Thanks all.
Pete. :-)

Thanks Sue. Nice to know I had the decade right :-). I still doubt myself in id's for glass. Some I have no clue about but  it rings a bell in my head, just like the clear Nailhead Vase I picked up, I couldn't name it but knew it was a nice piece I had seen in the thousands of pieces I have looked at in my sometimes fruitless searches. (Now listed). Thanks again.
Pete. :-)

I probably wouldn't know a nailhead unless it jumped out of the gutter and hit me.  ;)
