Dram Glass with raised design - Victorian?
« on: February 12, 2014, 12:11:04 AM »
Ok so here is my 2nd post. Small dram glass, maybe cordial glass, with a raised design, unsure of the technique used to create this. Has some age to it with a few small spots/bubbles in the glass. Also a large air bubble included just below the bowl as shown in photos. Measures 8.5cm x 4cm.

Thanks

Now that is etching, needle etching, or sometimes called plate etching I think. Done by machine and by countless manufacturers. Could be anything from late 19th through to early/mid 20th C
