hi,any help to id this vase would be appreciated .8 inches high,4 inches across the base.the rim of the base is ground and seems to have some wear to it.as to the color ruby/cranberry ?.also the age new or old?,any answers received with gratitude,many thanks

The colour is purple or amethyst. I'm not sure it's a vase either; the hole looks too small

thank you took it outside and can see the color better ,the reason i said a vase was that it had silk flowers in when i picked it uo ,many thanks
