Iridescent vase,help please,
« on: April 15, 2014, 05:27:36 PM »
Had the horrors that this was a piece of Royal Brierley Studio I'd not seen before but the longer I look at it the less I'm inclined to think it is, it does look like a mix of these two RB'y vases and as I'm now up to 18 different shapes of vase by them I'd rather it wasn't, ::) ;D ;D

No. Made somewhere unknown (China?) and often marketed under the Dale Tiffany label.

These things are popping up all over the place now - I nearly bought one when I first got into glass and didn't know what it was. Seen them listed on American Ebay for ridiculous amounts. Apparently they were a range sold in John Lewis a few years ago.
To me the handles look like they belong to something else!!

These are in several of the malls around me at cut rate prices...as in about 30% of retail from Dale Tiffany & a couple of the dealers around here don't even bother to remove the China labels. Have to say though that the interior designers like them so they sell at the reduced prices.
