Hello,

Can anyone identify the maker of these glass birds? They are marked, but I don't recognize the mark.

Many thanks,

Hello and thanks for your reply. I have other Liuligongfang pieces, however, the signature does not look like the ones on these.....

Interesting example. The detail of the mark is hard discern, is that a pattern around the edge or wording..?

I don't think its Tittot either. My understanding of Liuligongfang and Tittot is that they are generally clearly signed in either English, Chinese or both.

Attached are a few Tittot marks for reference.

Quite found of this technique, would be interested to find out more.  :)

The piece is quite large, over 13 inches long and 8 inches wide....I'll add some more photos....I can't make out the if it is wording or just design.

Michael, lots of chinese manufacturers on alibaba.com

Greg, small information on technique from LiuLi pages

I adore this glass too and always bought small souvenirs during my trips to Taiwan and China  :D

Pamela, thanks for the link....however, this looks to be of higher quality than the mass produced pieces.

I emailed customer service at LiuliGongFang, and they replied they did not think it was their art work, but requested a close up of the hallmark. I'm sure it's not LiuliGongFang, since most of their pieces are numbered in a series....

I found identical Mandarin Ducks, although on a much more intricate stand, here:

Pamela, I was wrong, these are mass produced. I did send a photo to the contact person for the company, just for verification. I hope he can confirm the maker.
