Topic: Massive blue-green bowl dish

I don't have high hopes that this one can be identified, but I try it:
Massive blue-green bowl, 15 cm diameter, 10 cm high. 2.4 kg (!)

Indented base with nicely polished circular pontil mark.
Engraved II S to the base (so maybe a second?)

My main suspects would be Murano or Czech. (I have a similar II on some of my Skrdlovice pieces from the early sixties, but wasn't able to find a pattern match anywhere).
So if it is Murano -- which company?

Not sure what the ][ S means - possibly a second?  I would be looking at Holmegaard - they had several blue ranges.  The one most like is Lagune.  Here are a some photos showing the colour I meant.  You should check out Hardernet.dk and if you can.t find a match try sending Peter Harder a photo and politely ask if he can help.

Thank you very much, Ross -- I think you have nailed it!

I looked through the hardernet site, and shape (9.5 cm height, 14.5 cm diameter) and colour are a perfect match for bowl PN 18347 from the "Lagune" (or "Lagunebla") range, designed by Per Lütken in 1963.
There is a huge difference in weight, though -- mine is 3 times heavier than the 0.794 kg given.
Maybe that is why it was marked a second...

It might be one of those items that was made for a long time, initially in lead crystal and then later not. The Kosta snowball candle holders are like that

According to the fabulous hardernet site the range was produced from 1967-73, so not that long...

Btw, I had a Per Lütken smoke coloured vase which was marked II as well (if I remember correctly).
Still somehow Scandinavian wasn't my first thought with this bowl.
