Vasart Vase?
« on: December 12, 2014, 07:51:18 PM »
Hello there i think this might be  Vasart, if it is what age is it roughly. The pontil is rough cut not polished.

It measures 7 inches in height, 6 1/4 inches across the rim and 4 inches across the base.

Regards Chris.

hi,
I would be fairly certain this is Vasart - haven't seen any Strathearn in this shape, and the pontil mark looks the same as on some of my Vasart vases. As it isn't signed then it would date between 1956 - 64.
Am i correct in thinking the foot is blown as part of the vase rather than applied?
