7.75 inches tall, reg no. 196??? too worn away to photograph, heavy pressed vase, did look online and saw 3 possibles starting  with 196, Reich, Percival and Greener but don't think it's either of the last two, help please,

Thanks Greg, what's strange is I got a Jobling 'Lambton' vase Saturday and it's on the same page in 20th Century BG as this one, must have been at the back of my mind when I saw this one today, both the same date ! weird,

Celery vase apparently - as if you couldn't see from the design - factory pattern 11800 runs down to Rd. 796183 which was registered on 06.09.1934.
Seventeen shillings per dozen Keith  -  wish we'd bought a few          Well done again, must start following you around.
Is it literally that worn, or simply an indistinct pressing do you think?

Probably a bit of both Paul, loads of wear and loads of specks of paint, going to take a while picking all the bits out of the moulding and then the big problem of where to put it !    Just thought , can I presume the plant depicted is celery then ?

Yes, it does depict celery  -  apologies Keith, I was being a little curt because with Baker & Crowe's catalogue I have the benefit of seeing lighter coloured examples - including an opalique piece - and on these the celery image is far easier to see.
Unfortunately, the 'celery' is at it's least obvious on the amber example.

How about using paint stripper??

I use a hard piece of sharp plastic, works well without any scratching to the glass,
