Hi,
Superb quality paperweight with a round early label........ I think Wolfie found this on Ebay for me.  :)

5o mm dia. and multicoloured frit ground.

MDG never fails to deliver quality......................

Nice weight Patrick, you can see some of the familiar colours used at MDG in there . Do the round labels pre-date the rectangular ones ? How do know it's an early label ?

Cheers, Mike

I was thinking along the lines of MDG rectangular Labels being superseded by Craft Glass Ltd rectangular labels, which seems to equate to the round labels being in existence before the rectangular.
Does that make sense ?
Has it been discussed on MDG pieces before ?

Cheers,
              Patrick.

Yes it does to a degree , that means all Craft Glass ltd labels found so far are rectangular and not round  :D

The only reason for introducing a larger rectangular label was to make space for a product number and having made the space (and introduced a numbering system ) , I don't think they would have gone back to a cramped circular label... so it does  all add up .
