Hi---thanks for the info. I was hoping you were going to say that you'd spotted a flame or coachbolt!!
It seems as though then,it's either early Maltese ( Mtarfa or possibly Phoenecian) or Alum Bay.

I'm very familiar with both marks. Sorry, neither is on this piece.

It could of course just an studio piece; so much glass isn't marked (and numerous studios have been and gone or still exist) and this isn't a special shape or design. I don't think we have  any evidence to really point at Malta

Hi--I agree, for the reasons you've given, it would be unreasonable to expect to be able to identify every piece of glass.
