Pink Art Glass vase - Murano?
« on: July 01, 2015, 04:47:46 PM »
I would like to confirm art glass in photos are Murano glass. I've been told by 2 experts who viewed the photos via emails that they are probably modern Murano art glass, and one suggested I check at this website.

[Mod: Other items have been split into separate threads. (See ... Bubbly Art Glass item and Red Art Glass vase])

Also, does anyone know the difference in value of "modern" Murano art glass and 19th-20th Century Murano?

Thanks very much, in advance, for any responses to this inquiry.

Size of Pink Vase = 11 1/4" H, 4" widest point.

I don't think this piece is Murano - Italian, yes, but probably Florence. Italian glass isn't my area either - that's just a guess!

We do not really tend to discuss values here, they are far too subjective. Something is only ever worth what somebody is willing to pay for it, in that place, at that time.

The pink one is definitely from Empoli, a glassmaking town in the Firenze province. Datewise I'd say 1970s.

Hi Ayesha,

I have split out your three items into this and two other threads (see links in "Mod:" comment above).
