I haven't seen an image of this paperweight anywhere so I thought I would post it here....just to record it.

Not a very inspiring design ....I wonder if they managed to sell 750 of them !  ;) It's about 7cm tall. marked 87/750 .

HI Baked Bean

Its a 1989 Colin Terris design.

According to Charlton it was
an limited edition of 750 but
the edition closed at No. 440

Best regards

Derek

Hi.  Anyone watching auction results recently will have noted the masses of Caithness being sold, usually as people inherit collections.  Prices have been 'disappointing', even for the higher range peices.....the typical 'Limited Edition of only several hundred examples' have sometimes made less than £5 per paperweight.  :o

I haven't seen an image of this paperweight anywhere ...
Admittedly not a very good image - but it's on ScotlandsGlass ;). Your images are much better (usually the case if you compare images of the thing itself with a scanned catalogue image) ... do we have your permission to add your images to ScotlandsGlass at some later stage?

I did search your site but didn't find it !  ::)

You are , of course , very welcome to use these pics.. I tried to eliminate the large window (included in the design  :() but found it was a bit underexposed ! I hope you can do a bit of photoshop editing  :)

Alan, it's good buying opportunity  :D It can only go upwards from a fiver !

Cheers, Mike
