My £1.50 torpedo vase - any ideas??
« on: May 14, 2017, 09:48:34 AM »
Does anyone recognise this? It's a large torpedo shaped vase with an etched type grid design. I bought it yesterday from a local charity shop for the princely sum of £1.50. It was absolutely filthy but once given a wash it's rather lovely. It's tall at at about 16 inches (about as tall as one and a third wine bottles) and appears to have a ground base which has some signs of wear suggesting a bit of age. It weighs in at 1.2kg. I'm new to all things glass and any help steering me in the right direction will earn my eternal gratitude. Many thanks!  :)
