Glass Lamp - IOW Kyoto/meadow garden. ID = Stuart Strathearn
« on: December 06, 2017, 01:52:49 PM »
I've seen this lamp for sale online...
I know its a long shot but it looks similar to some IOW designs although I've never seen them make lamps before so I'm unsure to its origin.
Measures around 17" in height and 4" in diameter, the fittings are brass and looks like good quality from the pics although IOW glass is not my area.
Any help appreciated  ;D ;D

I think Ben that Sue is suggesting that the value of anything is in the eye of the beholder  -   the only thing that really matters is whether or not you think it's worth that sort of money :)

Don't remember seeing an Impressions lamp before... I did have a Dark Crystal lamp base from Stuart Strathearn a while back but I don't seem to have kept a photo.

I've got one, sent to me by its very proud new owners when they found the right shade for it. ;)
Lamps do seem to be few and far between.

There is a big urn shaped one of these in The Mill antiques centre Bridgenorth it's been there for at least two years, the dark Crystal i would think is scarce i have only ever found one small vase.
