would indeed be a good find at that sort of age.              Apparently the company name was changed from Lindfors in the early 1930s to Strombergshyttan, and their glass was distinct in colour with an appearance of a bluish silver hue, and this became their speciality - so say Pina & Vigier - and these authors comment that most pieces were signed.        I'm always being told that wear means little, but does the base of this one suggest it might have been around for c. 80 years?                    Regret this lacks a decision one way or the other  -  let's see what others think. :)

I think you are spot on with your assumption. Made by Strombergshyttan but imported into the uk under the name of Elfverson & co.
Pattern number 3051. Is your vase about 8" tall?
I like this area of glass collecting, nice item.
Tim

Luckytom, in your research of Dunne Cooke did you come across any material concerning his dealings with the Swedish glass industry?.
Its an area of interest to me.
Tim.

isn't it more probable that the design is by Gerda Strömberg (Edvard's wife)?

... and to make future googling easier, Lindefors is spelled with an e: Lindefors

Kerstin in Sweden
