Topic: Turquoise Dish sold as Italian

I'm a newbie, and this second post is for a small dish which was sold to me as Italian, but I have my doubts about this ...

Any opinions gratefully received, many thanks!

I should have added that the glass colour seems to me to be very similar to Moser glass, and the cutting is interesting - not unlike some of the pieces in Czech Glass Review 1957/11 13-17, although these appear to be mostly multi colours rather than a single one, and this item is more symmetrical, and simpler.  The bowl is small - about 10cm long and 7cm high, and the base is cut and polished with a concave centre (but sadly no maker's mark).

I'm intrigued about its provenance, and would be grateful for any other ideas.

It looks like it could be neodymium/alexandrite glass and I think you are right about moser or possibly another Czech glasshouse

To me the colour looks wrong for neodymium glass, but the only way to check that is to see if it changes colour when moved between incandescent and fluorescent light. It is a colour Zelezny Brod Sklo (ZBS) glass used. I would expect Moser to be marked

Thank you all for your thoughts.  It isn't neodymium glass - I have several pieces of ZBS neodymium and this is quite different.  My ZBS collection doesn't include the turquoise colour (yet!) but it could be a contender, although the base of this dish is both cut and polished and unlike any piece of ZBS I currently own, all of which have flat polished bases.  In my limited experience it seems a high quality piece, and the cutting is very well executed. A mystery!

I would agree that it's definitely not Italian and would say def czech maybe 1960s.  I would agree that it's not a moser piece so you could rule that out but not all moser was signed it was just labelled.  Not much help but bit of input.
