Hi Hope someone can help id this piece.  Found in the North West of England it measures 12 cm x 11.5 cm c 6 cm (H x W x D) and weighs almost 800 gms.  A narrow oval design with a polished rim and the base is slightly concurve from the edges to the centre.  Any pointers much appreciated.  The nearest I've found so far to the blue is a number of Scandi vases (in particular Sweden), but I could be completely off track there.  Thanks

Maybe Polish?
I can't tell you why as I can't remember, but I had a blue (sort of royal blue ish)with very thick clear casing vase in this elliptical shape bought from Heal's in the 1990s - and for some reason I remember finding out it was made in Poland.  I think.
