It's known that the Boffos did make jugs in their own time, and that they were for sale at Valetta.
The silver deposits do look like Papa Boffo's work, but the strapping might be Ettore.
I'm really not sure. I don't know enough about Ettore's work to be able to tell his from others.
I don't know if Ettore could produce silver deposits. Not everybody could, it wasn't easy.
I do know that Papa Boffo tended to make his strapping in a grid sort of formation, which this isn't.
