Help with Whitefriars (?) vase please.
« on: May 08, 2019, 02:22:40 PM »
This ruby red & clear vase defeats me. It is 8.25"/21cm tall weighs 1,928g, and has a ground & polished pontil and a flame-polished rim. It's oval in profile, and the front & rear are slightly indented. The base has movement wear suggesting age. The ruby red colour is identical to that used by Whitefriars. If I was a betting man, I'd wager it was a 1960's design by Baxter, but I can't find any trace of it in the online catalogues. I'm not an expert on Whitefriars, and need help to identify it. Many, many thanks for any assistance. Larry.
