Help! Let's ID this massive (Murano?) vessel
« on: July 17, 2020, 08:28:27 PM »
Hello! First time posting here. The vessel in question is my massive vase that weighs around 12.25kg (27 pounds). Rendered using what looks like a sommerso or "sbruffi" technique, this biomorphic vase is impressive and very well executed. I've included some photos, including one with my hand for scale.

I could use some help deciphering the signature:

Is the maker "L. De Roi"? If so, who was this person?
Or is it "A. Da Ros" (Antonio da Ros)?
Or is the maker someone else entirely?

The adhesive label on the base looks Italian, but as it is a partial label (with significant fading), I can't be certain.

Would be immensely grateful for any thoughts or advice on how to proceed!
