Hmmm that's very curious... I didn't know Waterford ever made these. I wonder if the label has been swapped at some time?

It completely threw me too    I've only ever owned one piece of Waterford crystal - a beautiful cut glass ashtray.  They are famous for their cut glass.  This isn't cut glass.  Thought I was going crazy    It looks as though it might have a 'hammered' diamond type pattern on it but I can't make it out for sure.  It looks mightily like Chance. :?  I'll google Waterford and see what comes up.

Well, I did wonder    Does seem rather odd they've been producing slumped glass behind our backs!

While you Google, I'll ask the seller. £99 is rather optimistic too

I'm sure if Waterford had produced these we'd have seen reference to that fact elsewhere - and other examples of them. There is nothing in Google or on Waterford's site that they ever made hankies. I still think a label relocation is the most likely explanation. As to the starting price... well it's imaginative!

I think the crease in the lable gives it away. Old labels just sort of erode from the edges

I think you're probably right Christine. There are far too many ifs, buts and maybes for my liking.

But the following two sales of Handkerchief vases is showing a marked increase in interest! :?

7402838233 - Orange psychedelic: £46.00
7402865971 - Blue polka-dot: £43.00

Heck, you could almost buy a Waterford Crystal handkerchief vase for that

Sell, sell, sell   8)

I've been watching the orange psychedelic      and I think there's a red polka dot one with a day to go, quite cheap at the moment. :P

I've been watching the red polka-dots and they seem quite common, but in contrast the blue ones (edit: of any pattern) appear to be quite scarce for some reason. I don't even watch the red ones anymore! :?

I can't believe it either – it makes the Miller's Guide look accurate! But some auctions just seem to go into a bidding war — it only takes two :D

I'm having chronic FTP problems ATM, but I've just got limited (veeeery slooow) access so am uploading changes to the site while I have the 'chance'. Most of the time I'm getting absolutely no response.

It is, but 'Pop-Art' is a good alternative
