Agreed John...such a wide variety of makers and all producing similar pieces. Something is telling me though it isn't Whitefriars...it's the bubbles, they are just too fine and small. Do you know if WF produced these bowls with the fine, very small bubbles? Google images show a lot of the 9099 bowls but they just don't match. I think strongly for Scandinavian now and the photo suggestions from other posters do resemble strongly. Such a minefield. Thank you for your input of course.

Given that during a production run of around fifty years there are likely to be variations I reckon it is worth keeping an open mind. Some 9099 bowls do have smaller bubbles, comparing online photos and catalogue images gives some indication of this:

1970s: https://whitefriars-glass.com/resources/cat7831_33.jpg

With a quick search I can't find any images of large 9099 bowls with small bubbles either, I simply would not rule out Whitefriars while looking elsewhere. Magnor is another Scandinavian possibility...
