Czech C.I.O collection Black Toucan Vase Schlevogt For Show
« on: August 13, 2021, 06:40:01 PM »
Found this today possibly made from the original Schlevogt glass moulds from the 30's. A black vase with toucans I think this vase dates to the early 2000's.

C.I.O collection Hand Made label to base.
Height 5" and weighs 806gm.

I have had a quick look and cannot find another example yet.

Roy

I think C.I.O. may stand for ‘Czech it out’, a firm who have issued a bunch of old Czech designs in recent years (usually with pretty poor mould detail). There was an article in them in Pressglas-Korrespondenz a while back. Might be worth searching under that name.

Edited to add: Found the PK article here which also shows the C.I.O initials being used by Czech it out.

Thanks for your help Steven and the link.

The quality of the toucan vase seems pretty good. Do you happen to know who made the vase originally.

Thanks Roy
