Ive just bought these 2 large Holmegaard lamps at auction, and there seems to be some
Scandinavian experts on the board! Any ideas on the date of these or designer??
They were listed as black glass, the largest is about 50cm tall! it is actually red with a white
interior, the other a bit smaller is green. There is an bulb thingy which has a screw fitting for an
extra bulb inside the glass body, so if i can get them working they should look pretty spectacular,
sadly need rewiring.
They are called 'baroque'
My guess is 1970s-90s, but would love to know, i cannot find similar on google.

Thought I saw a reply on this topic! Or did it fall into a gap of the board upgrade?

I would guess at Per Lütken, c.1975-80 - but that's just a stab in the dark.

Holmegaard have dozens of very similar table lamps dating from that period, all with a ribbed, vaguely chesspiece-like shape. I've seen some reputable and knowledgable dealers attribute some of them to Lütken, but I've never seen the documentary evidence with my own eyes. Saying that, they do stylistically fall in line with his output from around that time.

Thanks Nic,
I'd like to think Lutken c1970s.
Ive sent an email to Holmegaard, asking nicely if they know the 'Baroque' range and a date,
if they have time to reply, i will post it.
Cheers All and Happy Xmas.
