Pickle castor - jar identification requested
« on: February 18, 2007, 12:52:13 PM »
Hello,

I have a lovely complete pickle castor with an etched glass jar. The metal part of the castor is made by Brama, and I have researched Abrahams in the Stewarts' Davidson book. The jar is presumably not by Davidson though, as it has a little key raised on the base, as part of the mould. I can't find which glass maker used a little key as their trademark. Can anyone help?

The photos are in the Glass Gallery Queries album. I hope these are the links.

Many thanks David. Found it - Putian Jinse Glassware, Shanghai. I didn't think to treat the jar as a bottle.
