I find myself agreeing with Christine again. The little decanter with tiny glasses is brought out after dinner with coffee - as a "pousse-café" and not just in France. If you fill your decanter with Poire or Kirsch or Calva or Marc is your own choice.
The pink decanter is very fifties and there is one on every market in France. Not sure if it was made by Arques or by Portieux or by Duralex (I tend toward the first) - but I guess it does not matter very much either way.
