 :)
That one got away safely from Muzzy.  ;D
I've not seen any others though, and I suspect it might be quite early.

Me too but don't know how to assess age. It has done incredibly well to survive intact, that tail is remarkable.

I can't imagine how the tail is still intact!  -  I did exchange one or two emails with Colin Green at A.B. several years back, but believe the factory shut their doors couple of years ago now so now lost that connection, and I didn't have a private number for him.

Unlike most of the other factories for which the books carry images of backstamps and labels, A.B. seem not to be included in the same way, so can't off-hand suggest a route to assess label age.

I think the mouse must have been one of the few creatures that Wedgwood didn't make.

As far as I can tell they are still in business, their website is still going and there are recent reviews on trip advisor - not the most comprehensive research I appreciate!

streuth - what a dis-service I've just done them :-[            In that case John, you might benefit from sending them an email.
Perhaps it was just that Colin Green was no longer with them.

The way the enamels, with some bubbles incorporated, are used is similar to the way they are used in the cloudy jack-in-the-pulpit pieces with the kicked up bases.
I'm not very aware of what their production has been since then, but I did pick up a beautiful surface-decorated piece with a gold plastic label on the base just last year. It's nothing remotely like the cloudy stuff.

for my money, I think that looks better than the cloudy in fact.            Don't seem to see that much of A.B. the stuff around recently.

I think it is a much more sophisticated piece than the earlier cloudy bits.
I was not leaving that sitting on somebody else's market shelf.
I showed it only to demonstrate how much production has changed.
I don't have a pic of a cloudy JIP to hand though. :-[
I can get one, bear with me. If it doesn't appear, nag me.

in case you don't find one, here's something from earlier times - long since parted with............ http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php/topic,28082.msg152772.html#msg152772

John's contribution within that link is also worth looking at, just for interest, but looks like they'd lost all of their mice by that time ;)
