Heavy Purple Clear Vase marked "L" ??

Here is a piece I picjed up at the same place as the turquoise and clear compote.

It is very heavy purple cased in clear vase with a cut and ground top. It has a recessed, finished pontil and an "L" mark?? I have looked in Ivo's book and couldn't find a similar mark and looked on Angela's Glass Encyclopedia.
