I've been puzzling over this jug which was exhibited at the Britain Can Make It exhibition in 1946. (Apologies for the atrociously long link - if possible, could a moderator shorten it?)
LINKAll the other pressed glass in the AHDS pictures from the exhibition is Sherdley (and I think all by Alexander Hardie Williamson), but I don't recognise this as a Sherdley design.
This evening, I came across this e-bay listing, which looks identical:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270108390181The seller thinks it's Davidson's Norman. I've done a bit of web research and discovered that Norman was designed by W. J. G. Fullerton. Fullerton was employed by Davidson's from 1939 to 1947, so the timing would be right for the Britain Can Make It exhibition. But I can't find a picture on-line or in any of my reference books.
Is there anyone here who can confirm or deny?
Many thanks in advance,
