Topic: Tiny Bulb Vases...

I've a pair of small Holmegaard bulb vases, c.1980s. But what would they have been used for? They're only 95mm high with a diameter of 45mm and an opening of approx. 25mm.

I've had a look around t'internet for crocus bulb vases, and I suspect that you're right, Max.

Or acorns, the Dartington one is an acorn vase. Yours is cute

Acorns was actually my first consideration, after remembering a conversation about them on here - but I'm not sure if the opening is a little wide at 25mm?

I really like them too, but they're headed straight on to the shop site when I get a chance. I'm trying not to hold on to too much stuff these days.

You're right this may be a crocus vase - not acorn or snow drop. Have you managed to document them as Holmegaard or is it an assumption? And if documented, what are they called in Holmegaard terms?

One of the vases has a later HG label. I'm fairly sure it's not been applied at a later date, and they were sourced within Denmark - although I've not managed to track them down in the scraps of catalogues I've accumulated thus far.
