Can anyone date the change of Steven and Williams phone number from 8501 to 12002 ? (1890-1910 period)

Hi Frank, try BT's archives.........
They once narrowed down the date of a Victorian Ceylonese sapphire and diamond half eternity (yes, I know you get less time for murder ;D) ring with original box  that I bought for Hilary, to a period of around five years, based on the opening/improvement to exchanges in Manchester.
