Hi, I have a very usual bowl/ashtray. It has aventurine swirls inside it, BUT the colors are very contrasting. It is a very dark blue on the top, while the bottom is a very dark brown. Very usual colors (I think). I purchased it at a Flea Market for $3.
It was suggested to me before the contrasting colors (Blue/Brown) was similar to the stark colors used in Van gough painting (Starry Night) of dark blue, and brown. This was merely a suggestion.
Is it possible this usual color scheme could be a take on that famous artist. (Artist's are influence by another artist's perception ). Unknown if this is true, but due to the color combination.....well, could be....who knows....anybody here? Could this be Toso, or Barbini ? Any ideas on age/maker/value?
Thanking you in advance.
