Glass rods
« on: November 25, 2007, 02:58:52 PM »
Hi
More stuff from the same auction lot the pink and white oil cruet came from.

First up are four glass rods - one white, two pale green, one darker green - and 8 metal brackets.
It seems obvious that the brackets fixed to a surface and held the rods - but what surface? Why?
I can't believe it was an practical purpose (like a towel rail) as glass is totally unsuited and it would have been metal more likely.

Anyone any better or more informed guesses as to purpose?

Cheers
Andrew
(PS. And if anyone wants to buy - just shout.)

I'm afraid I have no idea about the uraniumness or otherwise. And I have no U/V light (which I assume would help with this question). Must get one - any advice where?
Andrew

I would 'guess' shop display fittings where the fragility is less of an issue. But you can buy glass towel rails today.
