Spatter? glass vase origin?
« on: December 18, 2007, 08:54:42 PM »
This 7" tall vase is very heavy (4 pounds, 8.8 kg to the sophisticated lot :D.  The pontil is ground out and polished.  Significant age wear is evident on the bottom.  The base color is crystal, and the spatter glass is light blue.  There is a very little red also swirled in.  Any opinions as to maker?  Thanks for looking.

In a Fenton book I saw they made a glass vase that is very similar to your vase.  I don't know if Fenton made your piece but the glass in the book was made prior to 1970, when marking their glass was hit or miss.  Some was marked, most was not or came with a paper label.
