i found this piece today, i havent got a clue who made it though, can anyone identify it for me....Kev

Is it cut?  If it is, I've seen something very similar in a book - I'll hunt it out.

Sorry, the one I was thinking of is hexagonal, with a different pattern  .  It does look similar at first glance so Hadeland might be worth a look, I've hardly anything with their production in I'm afraid.

l think this a Royal Bohemia Cyclindrical clear glass vase - 1970-72.

Check the high,should be around 25cm(9.75")

As this item is hand cut, that precludes this item being Sklo Union production, and the base shows a flat, polished grind. Were this Czech, I'd be looking at Bohemia Podebrady, and not any of the pressed glass factories.

This vase could be Walsh.   See Reynolds p.38 fig.111, where both cut and pressed versions of the pattern are illustrated.

Note that it is very difficult to tell them apart.   The only way I know to be certain is to look at the "cut" surfaces.   As, to my best knowledge and belief, Walsh always hand-polished cut glass, you can see the faint striations made by the cutting wheel.   There are no such striations on Walsh pressed.    I've only had two examples of Walsh 1940s pressed glass through my hands, both of which were sold to me as cut glass by experienced dealers.
