well I never!

Here's a side to Sherdley I never knew about:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280193650110

A pair of those saucy dressed/ undressed tumblers, with a demure, fully clad female on the outside and on the inside, waiting to be revealed as you drained your glass, a saucy pin-up version dressed only in her scanties.

One of them in mint condition with a Sherdley sticker.

Well, well, well...

Might be worth asking the seller for a decent hi-res photo of the label.

I have seen these tumblers and also tankards with these transfer themes - sadly the only one I managed to buy got completely wrecked in the post (dumb seller ::)) but I believe the tankard I purchased was Sherdley - whether they decorated it is anyone's guess.

Yes, I probably will.

Interesting - when I come to think of it, the only Sherdley labels I've seen have been on pieces in Australia. But maybe that's just because most of my Sherdley items are tumblers, which came in boxes so wouldn't need labels.

I wonder if they applied labels for export only?
