Orange fruit/cake Bowl

Hi All
        Im new to this site and i have just started collecting glass, i brought this bowl last week and have been trying to find out about it since, i came across this site when i visted whitefriar's could any one shed some light on this item please,

The view of the base but no mark,s i forgot to ask is it a cake stand or a fruit, bowl ? :-\ i only payed £2.99 /$1.50 at a local charity shop, so am pleased very much as it's nice to look at, any help appreciated

Not carnival glass. There simply isn't any iridescence in evidence.
