Moser ? Oldrich Lipa 1956? cut, fine matte polishing
« on: February 11, 2008, 12:01:00 PM »
Im pretty sure ive identified this piece from the Czech Glass book 1945-1980,
but would appreciate Marcus' opinion :D (and anyone elses)
On page 253, Vase by Oldrich Lipa, , prototype for a series from 1960,
my one in a sort of brown/amber, 11 1/2" tall, very slightly wider at top than base,
nicely polished base and rim, (beveled) nearly 2kg. Shame a few fleabites on cut edges :'(
Mine is not signed. Solid from 1/2 way down vase.
Cheers

Hi,
Looks right to me, as a standard Moser production run item, but I will check some of my other books.
Regards,
Marcus
