Decanter 2
« on: February 11, 2008, 05:17:39 PM »
Hi Members
This is the second of my Decanters that i have at the moment, this piece stands 13.5ins high with the stopper in and with out the stopper, 10ins,  the center circumference being14.5ins and weighs 1691grams, i would also like to hear from members if thay like collecting decanter or are they out of style at the moment.

my wife says they are old fashioned but i tend to get drawn to them. can you help identify these decanter's please,
                                                                                                                                                          Regards
                                                                                                                                                          Gilead

Cannot really tell from the pics but I get the impression of modernish mass produced.

I think decanters are out of fashion at the moment, but I do agree some do draw you!  At least the stopper definitely matches the decanter in yours!  ;D  (BTW, my OH collects just the decanter STOPPERS!  ::) )

Is it pressed or cut?  Or pressed and then a bit (surface) cut?  It's very hard to tell from photo's unless you can get a really close enlargement of the cutting (and sometimes not even then, I find  ::) )
