Help with a signature please on a bird paperweight?
« on: February 23, 2008, 10:27:43 AM »
Hi,

Ive been unable to figure out this signature on what I guess is a paperweight. Its flat by the way, not round. Pic doesnt really show that. Looks to be a robin? Gorgeous detail. Can anyone recognise the maker please?

that was my first thought because the sig looks very Marcolin - but I checked the 1999 FM Ronneby/ Marcolin catalogue and there is not a single cast item in there.

I thought it looked like RUGG 162 LIMY or CHMY something like that. I'm going cross-eyed from looking at it... lol

found this on another board.... http://www.worldcollectorsnet.com/matsjonasson/messages/131.html ....which seems to be the same makers mark, but cant see if they ever got an answer to thier question??

...Just to add that that would make the format of the mark two letters followed by 99162. then to my eyes CCMY or LCMJ

Which then reminded me of my Mats Jonasson moth paperweight for Kosta....

marked Kosta 99172 M.J
